Not a window cleaner? Where this guide says round, you'll see route. It works the same way. You can change the word in Settings, then Scheduling.
What you'll need
- The checklist as a form, or make one as you go
Before you start
A checklist is a form. Use this for a checklist, tick list or safety check that only one visit needs. For every visit of a service, or every visit at one customer's site, put the form on the service or the plan instead (see Forms).
- On the Schedule, open the visit.
- Under Checklists, choose Add a checklist.
- Under Checklist, choose one of your forms. Or choose Make a new form, then Make the form: build it, choose Save form, and it's added to the visit.
- Choose Add checklist.
Adding a one-off visit? In Add visit on the Schedule, or Add one-off visit on a customer, choose a form under Checklists for this visit (optional), then Add a checklist. Choose Add visit, and the checklists are added with it.
What happens next
Checklists on the visit lists every checklist the cleaner fills in on it, and why: From the service, From this customer's plan, Just this visit, or On every visit. Remove takes off one you added to just this visit. Forms already filled in stay on the visit.
Your cleaner sees it on the visit in the app with the others, with or without signal, in cleaner and owner modes. If the form has Fill in before starting ticked, it shows before Start, and with Required before the visit can start, the visit can't start until it's filled in. Cleaners on an older version of the app need to update it to see a checklist added to one visit.
A visit with its own checklist is kept when its plan's visits are rebuilt, as a visit with a key or documents is. Its round and day can still change.
If something goes wrong
- No Add a checklist: you can add one only to a planned visit, with the Schedule area.
- “The checklist couldn’t be added. Please try again.”: try again.
- “The checklist couldn’t be removed. Please try again.”: try again.
- “The visit was added, but a checklist wasn’t. Add it from the visit.”: open the visit and choose Add a checklist.
Who can do this
The owner, and managers with Can plan the schedule, rounds and forms. Cleaners see the checklists on their own visits.
