Before you start
To email a statement, the customer needs an email address on their page.
- In Money, open Statements. You can also choose View statement on the customer's Money tab, or their name in Arrears.
- Choose the Customer, and the From and To dates.
- Check the statement: the Opening balance, each invoice and payment, and the Balance owed or In credit at the end.
- Choose Print or save as PDF. Or, under Email a statement, choose Send statement. Untick Attach the PDF if you don't want it attached.
What happens next
The customer gets the statement by email. With no customer chosen, Statements sent lists each one you've emailed, as Sent or Not sent. Your bank details and payment terms show on statements, from Settings, Bank transfer.
If something goes wrong
- “This customer has no email address. Add one to their record first.”: add one on their page, then send again.
- “This statement couldn't load. Check your connection and try again.”: refresh the page.
- Send statement can't be pressed: the From date must be on or before the To date.
