Before you start

harulu doesn’t send this to HMRC. Copy the figures into your tax return, or give this summary to your accountant. It covers your self-employment only.

  1. In Money, open Tax summary and choose Self Assessment summary for the year, in the tax return’s boxes.
  2. Choose the Tax year.
  3. Under Basis, choose Cash: money in and out in the year, or Accruals: invoices when issued.
  4. Under Vehicles, choose Recorded van costs or HMRC’s simplified mileage rate.
  5. Under Form, leave Chosen for you, or choose Short (SA103S) or Full (SA103F).
  6. Choose Print, or Download CSV.

What it shows

Each box has its figure and the whole pounds to put on the form. Quarterly updates sent to HMRC shows the latest update sent from harulu, if there is one. Read the Notes before you copy anything.

If something goes wrong

  • “The summary couldn’t load. Check your connection and try again.”: refresh the page.
  • Other income, such as a job or property, isn't here: it goes on other pages of your tax return.

Who can do this

The owner and your accountant. Managers don't see it.
