Not a window cleaner? Where this guide says round, you'll see route. It works the same way. You can change the word in Settings, then Scheduling.
Before you start
On Team, choose the person's name. People still invited, and people who've been removed, don't have a page yet.
- Under Start point, search for the address where their day starts and choose it, so it has a map pin. Under End point, choose where their day ends, if it's somewhere else.
- Under Working hours, tick the days they work and set the start and end times.
- Under Skills and van, add their Skills (comma separated), choose a Colour, and the Van they drive.
- For an owner or manager, turn on Include in planning if the optimiser should give them visits like a cleaner.
- Choose Save member.
What happens next
“Member saved.” shows. The optimiser and mileage use the start and end points. Visits for a service that needs a skill only go to people who have it. The van they drive is the stock they see and use in the app.
The page also has:
- About: their role, mobile, rounds, van, skills, today's visits and their next time off.
- Start somewhere else on a date and End somewhere else on a date, for one day only.
- Name, role and job title, for the owner: First name, Last name, Mobile, Access (Manager or Cleaner) and Job title (optional), then Save changes.
- What they can use, for the owner, on a manager's page: tick the areas, then Save what they can use. They see the change next time a page loads.
- Pay, for the owner: their pay rule, with Change their pay or Add a pay rule.
- Off sick today, Reset two-factor and Remove from the team, at the top.
If something goes wrong
- “No map pin yet. Choose an address from the search so the optimiser can plan this person's days.”: choose the address from the search, not just typed in.
- “Each day must end after it starts.”: check the working hours.
- “We couldn't save. Please try again.”: nothing changed. Try again.
- “This couldn’t load. Check your connection and try again.”: refresh the page.
Who can do this
The owner, and managers with Can approve timesheets and manage stock and vans, change start points, hours, skills and vans. Only the owner changes names, roles, what managers can use and pay, resets two-factor or removes someone.
