When emails to a customer bounce

Emails bounced, aren't arriving or were marked as spam: fix the address and start emailing again.

Help centre

Before you start

If emails to a customer bounce, or they mark one of our emails as spam, we stop emailing that address. Their page then shows Emails aren’t arriving, or Emails marked as spam, with the date.

  1. Open the customer and check their email address with them.
  2. If it's wrong, choose Edit customer, correct the Email and choose Save customer. Or change it under Email addresses.
  3. When the address is right, or the customer says it works, choose Start emailing again.

What happens next

Emails to that address go again: invoices, reminders, automatic messages and anything you send. Until then they aren't sent, and texts still go if they have a mobile.

If something goes wrong

  • “That didn’t work. Please try again.”: check your connection and try again.
  • It bounces again: the address still doesn't work. Ask the customer for another one.

Who can do this
