Make a form

Build a checklist or sign-off for visits, or start from a ready-made one.

Not a window cleaner? Where this guide says round, you'll see route. It works the same way. You can change the word in Settings, then Scheduling.

Before you start

Ready-made forms are a starting point, not advice. Check them against your own work and each site before you use them.

  1. Open Settings, then Forms, and choose New form. Or, under Ready-made forms, choose Use this form.
  2. Give it a Form name, and choose where to Fill in on: Every visit, Visits for chosen services (then tick the Services), or Not attached (filled in when needed).
  3. Tick Fill in before starting for a check before work starts, such as hazards and ladders. Tick Required before the visit can start if it must be done first.
  4. Under Fields, give each field a label and a Type: Tick box, Text, Number, Choice or Signature. A Choice needs Options, one per line. Choose Add field for more, and the arrows to change the order.
  5. Choose Save form.

What happens next

“Form saved.” Cleaners see it on the visits you chose, and a form on every visit or on chosen services must be filled in before the visit can be completed. To use it at one site only, tick it on that site's service plan. To use it on one visit only, add it from that visit on the Schedule (see Add a checklist to one visit). Filled-in forms show under Completed and in the job report. Changing a form doesn't change forms already filled in.

Came here from Make a new form on a visit? Fill in on starts at Not attached, and the form is added to that visit when you save: “Form saved and added to the visit.”

If something goes wrong

  • “Give the form a name.”: add a name.
  • “Every field needs a label.”: fill in each label.
  • “Choice fields need at least two options.”: add another option.
  • “Choose at least one service.”: tick a service, or choose another Fill in on.
  • “You already have a form with that name.”: choose another name.
  • “The form was saved, but it wasn’t added to the visit. Add it from the visit.”: open the visit on the Schedule and choose Add a checklist.
