Add a customer on the phone

Add a customer, their property and a service plan in the phone app.

Help centre

Not a window cleaner? Where this guide says round, you'll see route. It works the same way. You can change the word in Settings, then Scheduling.

What you'll need
  • The customer's name and address
  • Signal, to save a new customer
  • A service with a price, set up on the web in Settings, Services and prices
  1. On Customers, choose New customer. Or choose Add a customer on the Board.
  2. Under Who is the customer?, choose A person or A business or organisation.
  3. Type the address in Search address and choose it from the list. This fills in the Address, Town and Postcode, and sets the map pin. Add Access notes if you need to.
  4. Enter their Full name (or Business name), Email and Phone. Set Service updates by text, Marketing messages (offers and news) and Use their job photos on our website to what they've agreed. Tap Tags to add tags.
  5. Choose Save customer. New service plan opens for their property.
  6. Choose the service, and enter the Price (£). For repeat work, enter a First clean (£) price if the first visit costs more. Choose the Frequency and the Round. The nearest round is chosen for you.
  7. Choose the First visit day. With a team, choose Who does this job?. Then choose Create service plan.

What happens next

The property opens with the plan, its round and when it's next due. Visits are made from the plan: the first on the day you picked, later ones on the round's days. A job with nobody on it is Not assigned, and won't show in anyone's app until you choose who from the visit.

Another property, or another plan

On the customer's page, choose Add a property, then Save property. New service plan opens next. On a property, choose New service plan. Edit customer and Edit property change the details. To keep a property's gate code, leave Gate code (leave blank to keep it) empty.

Looking someone up

Search Customers by name, address or postcode, and filter by round, area, tag or status. A customer's page has Call and Text, what they owe, their next visit, Messages and Write a quote.

If something goes wrong

  • “Enter the customer's address.”, “Enter a postcode, or choose the address from the search.” or “Enter a UK postcode, like HG1 2AB.”: choose the address from the search, or type it in.
  • “Enter the customer's name.” or “Enter a valid email address.”: check what you typed.
  • “No signal”: save the customer when you have signal. What you've typed stays there.
  • “No services yet”: add the services you offer, with their prices, on the web. Then come back to add the plan.
  • “That date has passed. Choose today or a later date.” or “The business is closed that day. Choose another.”: pick another First visit day.
  • “Is £… right?” or “This plan is free. Is that right?”: check the price. Choose Yes, save it (or Yes, it's free), or Change the price.
  • “The plan didn't save”: nothing was saved. Change it and try again.

Who can do this

The owner, and managers with Can see and change customers and services. Only the owner and managers with Money set the price. Other managers book at the service's price, and the plan says so. Payment terms and Invoice this customer, on Edit customer, need Money too.
