Services and prices per unit
Charge per window, pane, panel, metre or room, or a fixed price.
A service has a fixed price, or a price per unit: per window or pane for window cleaning, per panel for a conservatory, per metre for gutters, per room for carpets, per bedroom for a house clean, or per square metre for pressure washing.
To price per unit, open the service and choose Price per unit. Name the unit (window, and windows for more than one) and enter the price for one. You can add a base fee, charged on top every time, and a minimum charge, the least the job ever costs.
The price is the base fee plus the number of units times the price per unit, and never less than the minimum. For example, at £1.50 a window with a £10.00 minimum, 12 windows cost £18.00 and 4 windows cost £10.00.
Each plan and quote line has its own count. Quotes, visits and invoices show it, for example "12 windows × £1.50". If the customer has their own rate for the service, that rate is used instead.
Only the owner and managers with Money set or change prices and counts. Changing a service's price per unit doesn't change plans already set up; change those on the plan.
Cleaners can record the count they find on a visit, such as 14 windows when the plan says 12. It's only a suggestion: the owner and managers with Money see Check a count, and the price changes only if they approve it.
