Add a round and put it in order

Make a round, choose its days and cleaner, add customers, and set the order you drive.

Help centre

Not a window cleaner? Where this guide says round, you'll see route. It works the same way. You can change the word in Settings, then Scheduling.

What you'll need
  • Customers with a service plan and an address from the search, so each has a map pin

A round is the customers you visit on the same day, in the order you drive to them.

  1. Open Rounds and choose New round.
  2. Give it a name, and tick its days under Day pattern.
  3. Under Repeats, choose Every week, or every 2, 3 or 4 weeks.
  4. Under Cleaner, choose who does it, or leave it Not assigned. You can also choose a Van and a Usual arrival time.
  5. Save the round settings.

To add customers, open the round. Under Add customers, search by name, street or postcode, tick the customers and choose Add, or add all the suggested ones. Only customers who aren't on a round yet show there. You can also choose the round on a customer's service plan, under Round.

To put the stops in order:

  1. Open the round. Its stops are listed in order, with a map.
  2. Drag a stop by its handle, or use the arrows, or choose Put in the best order for the shortest drive from the first stop.
  3. Choose Save round order, or Keep the old order to put it back.

What happens next

The saved order is the order the round's visits are listed on Schedule and on the cleaner's Today in the app, from its next sync. New visits for the round's customers are booked on the round's days.

Each person's start point, where their day starts and ends, is on their page in Team, under Start point. See The optimiser, and start and end points.

To rename a round, change its usual days or give it to someone else, open the round, choose Round settings, change them, and save.

To move one day's visits on a round to another day, for that week only, open Schedule and choose Move this round’s day. The round's usual days stay the same. It can move a day by up to 6 days; for longer, use Rain delay or move the visits one by one.

There's no button to delete a round yet. To stop using one, move each customer to another round on their service plan, under Round, or choose No round.

In the phone app's owner mode, Rounds shows each round's stops in order, on a map. Making and changing rounds is on the web: the app has New round on the web and Change on the web.

If something goes wrong

  • “N stops have no map pin, so we can't work out the drive for them.”: open each of those properties, edit it, and choose its address from the search.
  • “This is already the shortest drive we found.”: nothing to change.
  • “You already have a round with that name.”: choose another name.
  • “The business is closed that day.”: when moving a round's day, choose a day that isn't a closed day.
