Not a window cleaner? Where this guide says round, you'll see route. It works the same way. You can change the word in Settings, then Scheduling.
What you'll need
- The other business's free web address, like bright-windows
- Their owner's email address
Before you start
The other business must use harulu too. If they don't, tick the customers and choose Download handover file instead: a spreadsheet of them, with the columns Import customers reads. It never has gate codes in it.
- On Customers, tick the customers to hand over. Or open a round, to hand over everyone on it.
- Choose Move to another business.
- Enter Their web address and Their owner’s email. Add A note for them (optional).
- Read What moves and What stays, then choose Review.
- Check the details and choose Send.
What moves
- Customers, properties, services and prices, how often, and the next visit due.
- Access notes, tags and hazards, visit history and photos.
- Invoices, payments, balances and statements stay with you. Direct Debits are cancelled and the new business sets them up again. Gate codes and consents don't move, and portal logins end.
What happens next
Their owner has 14 days to accept. Nothing moves until they do, and you can cancel it until then. Moving customers (See sent moves, after you send) lists what you've sent: Waiting for an answer, Accepted, Declined, Expired or Cancelled. When they accept, each customer is told by email or text who their new business is.
When another business offers customers to you, Customers says so. Choose Review incoming customers to see how many customers, properties and plans, about what they're worth a month, and the towns. Choose Accept or Decline. Accepted customers join you straight away, with their next visits due but not on a round.
If something goes wrong
- “Enter their web address, like bright-windows.”: the first part of their free website address.
- “We couldn't find a business with that web address and owner email”: check both with the other owner.
- “Some of those customers are already in a transfer waiting for an answer”: wait for that answer, or cancel it.
- “Move up to 1,000 customers at a time”: send them in smaller groups.
- “That transfer has expired. Ask them to send it again.”: offers last 14 days.
Who can do this
Only the owner sends, accepts or declines customers. The owner and managers can download the handover file.
