Clock in and out, and take breaks

Clock in when you start, take a break, and clock out at the end of the day.

Before you start

Your hours come from clocking in and out in the app. You can clock in on a day with visits booked for you. If you work on your own, clocking in is up to you: the line at the top of Today says Hours not tracked today, with Track hours.

  1. On Today, tap Clock in and start. Your hours begin, and the main button becomes Open visit.
  2. The line at the top of Today now says Clocked in since and the time. To take a break, tap Start break under it. Tap End break when you start again.
  3. To clock out, tap the line at the top of Today, then Clock out now. If visits are still to do, it says how many first. They stay on your list. Keep working takes you back.
  4. After your last visit, Finish and clock out ends the day in one step.

My timesheet, in Me, also has Clock in before your first shift of the week, and Clock out while you're clocked in. Both open Your shift, with Started, Time worked and Breaks, and Start break.

Forgot to clock in? When you finish your first visit of the day, the app asks Start your day? once, with a time worked out for you. Change Started at if you began at a different time, then tap Start day. Not now leaves it.

What happens next

Each shift goes on your timesheet. Break time isn't counted as work. If you send your hours After each shift, the shift goes to the office when you clock out. If you send them Weekly, send your week from My timesheet by Sunday evening.

Back at work after clocking out? Tap Clock in again. The app asks Start another shift? first, and a second shift is added to your timesheet.

If something goes wrong

  • No signal: clocking in and out, and breaks, save on the phone with the time you tapped, and send later.
  • “That shift was under a minute, so it isn't kept.”: a shift shorter than a minute is dropped. Clock in again when you start.
  • “Nothing is booked for you today, so there's nothing to clock in for.”: ask the office if you should have visits.
  • “Enter a time like 08:15.” or “That's later than now. Enter when you began.”: check the time under Started at.
  • “You can't start a new day”: your company's account is paused. Ask your manager.
  • A shift left running, such as overnight: on My timesheet, tap Wrong time? Tell the office.

Who can do this

Everyone who works visits in the app: cleaners, and owners and managers working their own visits.
