Help centre

Your books are in Money. Each part has its own guide:

  • Expenses: Add an expense, and group them with Expense categories, each matched to an HMRC category.
  • Bank statements: Match a bank statement to invoices. Money going out can become expenses.
  • Profit and loss: money in less expenses, before wages.
  • Tax summary and Making Tax Digital: your figures in HMRC's categories for each quarter, a tax estimate, and files for your accountant.
  • Self Assessment summary: the boxes for your tax return. harulu doesn't send it to HMRC.
  • VAT return: the nine boxes for each VAT quarter.
  • Xero and QuickBooks: send your customers, invoices, payments and expenses to your accounting software.
  • Your accountant: Give your accountant access.

Who can do this

Expenses and Bank: the owner and managers with Money. Tax summary and profit and loss: the owner, managers with money reports, and your accountant. Connecting accounting software and HMRC: the owner.
